Welcome OpenTablers!

Who loves opentable.com too? I'll tell you when I became hooked...when I found out that opentable is searching the actual reservation computers at the restaurants and then inserting my name into the book right in front of the maitre d's eyes. I snagged a table ONLINE at a hot NYC restaurant, right after they told me over the phone that they were "fully booked". That was it for me. What do you guys think about opentable.com?

I'm a big fan of the site. I've been using it for a long time now to book reservations at restaurants in SF and have found it to be generally good.

My biggest complaint is that it doesn't have enough of my favorite restaurants on it! Also - it would be way better to have reviews from someplace like Zagat on it rather than the links they have today. It's a lot of work to try to discover new restaurants that are worth going to on the site.

I'm a big fan as they have a big portion of my favorite restaurants. I am waiting for the day when Liberty Cafe and Bakery takes rezzies so they may be on opentable. I do wish thought that more brewpubs were on the list as they do make good food and deserve the recognition. Nonetheless it is the best site on the web for restaurants alongside Zagat.

I wish there was a concierge that would check for and then book reservations at restaurants that still use the manual system. I would be willing to pay a monthly membership fee for "manual" reservation inquiries.
